Sewing: summer clothes refashion
Thursday, June 14th, 2012
I have been busy sewing instead of blogging:) With an ever increasing pile of my old clothes to get rid of I decided to make Adelaide a summer wardrobe out of them. I have been working my way through the pile little by little.

This is what I started with.
And now for the first reveal:

I snapped these photos on our way to the mail box. Its tough to get this girl to stand still. For the first outfit I was attempting to refashion one of my button up shirts into a dress. I roughly used this tutorial. I attempted sleeves but it did not work out so I took them off. I also ended up making the dress way too tight so went back in and added the solid teal pieces at the sides with leftovers from the tshirt above. I actually really like how that turned out. On the original shirt there was a bow at the collar that I removed and sewed to the back of the dress to use as a tie around the waist.
