something new

We are busy organizing, packing, and getting rid of things as we have only 5 days left in Barcelona. I cant believe that a year has passed so quickly! During the last couple weeks as I have been organizing the pile of “give away” clothes has been increasing. I started going through said pile of clothes and got inspired to cut, sew and refashion some of them into clothes for A. I am still a novice in the sewing department when it comes to following patterns and making clothes. So I do well when I have something already formed to use and work with. I forgot to take pictures of most of the clothes before but here are some of the things that were added to A’s wardrobe as a result of me minimizing mine.
I cut up an old tank top of mine for this little tank for A. I somewhat followed this tutorial.

After I finished it I realized I could not get it over her head so I added a button closure.

I used more of the same pink tank top as well as an orange patterned blouse and a grey skirt and made this dress. Its still a little big.

My only before photo. This was my skirt that ended up in the “give away” pile.

And I turned it into a little skirt for A. Although it wont fit her for awhile.

And a blouse. This is the front.

and the back. I suppose it could be reversible.

And a dress.

I added elastic to the back so that it would get on and off easier.

The best photo I could get. She is always on the move.

I am only including this one because I have been trying to get a pic of her vampire teeth forever and this is the closest I have come. Ill work on getting a better one for you. (A has her two bottom middle teeth and now has two teeth on top, which just happen to be her two pointy teeth. She is a baby vampire. And currently there are no signs of any new ones creeping in. She could be a vampire forever.)

An adorable, sweet vampire:)
