lots of stitches

After a bajillion stitches, I have made some significant progress on the quilt. And I really am loving it. It is a bit crazy with so many colors and different fabrics but I think its just perfect and coming together so well. I still have a bit more to do before the front is done. Then the real work begins. Oh my. What do you think so far??

It is so cute!!! Love it!
holy craft, homegirl! awesome!
Im so impressed, so proud, and so jealous that you have learned how to quilt. And I love that it is all by hand. I have some pics to send you of some quilt pieces that Josh’s grandma made. They are so great and she said if I can figure out what to do with them then she would let me have them. I forget the name of the design, but you would probably know it if you saw them (they look like flowers). She made them in the 1920′s during the depression with scrapes of her own clothing. On some of them you can still see the label stamps from the sugar and flour sacks that she used for some of the fabric. So vintage and so cool!! I thought of you the second that I saw them. You’ll have to help me with some ideas for them. I’ll admit I’m kinda afraid to touch them with so much precious history involved.
