Tongue

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Adelaide is really into her tongue right now. She sticks it out constantly. Its pretty cute. On the way to SLC she just sat on my lap sticking her tongue out for about 25 minutes. It was amazing. I’ve caught a few photos and even one pretty fun video.

Handmade

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

I LOVE handmade items. I enjoy, sewing, crafting, and making things and love receiving such items as well. Adelaide received a number of fun handmade items. One day I hope she will appreciate them and know how special and loved she is to have had so many people take the time to make her beautiful gifts. Thanks to those who worked so hard on them. We love it!

A beautiful quilt made by Grandma Peg Fisher.

Crochet blankets made by Coral. I love the bright colors.

More beautiful crochet blankets including one made by Uncle Austin (a pretty talented little 10 year old uncle).

A beautiful butterfly quilt made by Aunt Gail.

A fun onsie and wipes holder made by Lacy.

An adorable little sweater and bib made by Andrea.

Fun little booties.

And some great little crochet people made by Coral.

Babies, Babies, Babies

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Hanging out in Salt Lake City was pretty much an endless “playdate” for Adelaide. Babies are all the rage these days. It was so fun catching up with all our friends and seeing how much babies have grown and getting to meet new babies. I realized that I didnt take any pictures of adults so here are all the babies. We love them and their parents and we wish Adelaide (and us) could play together all the time.

Asher and his parents were wonderful hosts. We miss them!

A and little Valeska and their matching headbands. I cant believe the difference two months makes.

A and tiny Jason having tummy time together. He feel asleep:)

A and Asher working hard for the money. Or just playing.

Ella was really into patting A’s head.

Will sharing his toys with A.

A and Eunice at the IRC photo shoot. They are just two days apart.

And a quick little video of some of the babies together. A is a bit awkward. She cant hold her head up like all the big kids:)

Great Grandparents

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Adelaide has some pretty great GREAT grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Rogelstad were recently visiting for a few weeks. It was fun having them around. Adelaide is loved by so many people. Here she is hanging out with Gpa and Gma.

Grandma was so helpful hanging out with A and entertaining her. We cant wait for them to visit us in Barcelona!

Yikes, whose this guy?

He is funny.

And of course we had to take the quintessential 4 generations picture.

Thats the best we got. 4 ladies. Do we all look alike?

SLC

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

We had a WONDERFUL short trip to SLC this weekend. It was great to see lots of people and show Adelaide off (more to come). We made it home late last night. Here is little A all tuckered out right after landing in Tulsa. She is a trooper.

And now for the fun stuff. Adelaide has been smiling for the last few weeks but we have had a hard time actually catching it. But this weekend we finally got a good photo, TWICE! The smiling stage is so fun.

Family Photos

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

When Mariana was in town a few weeks ago she snapped a few family photos for us. She was literally walking out the door to the airport and took five minutes to take our picture. I think they turned out quite well considering the circumstances. Here is our little family.

This is how she sleeps

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Adelaide is a rather good night sleeper. She typically sleeps about 6 hours through the night. Her record is 8 1/2. I am hoping it only gets better. She does not sleep as well during the day through. She always seems too distracted and then will eventually tucker out in someone’s arms but then wakes back up about 10 minutes after you lay her in bed. So we are working on getting her to sleep better during the day. I usually wrap her up and she seems to fall asleep better that way. Somehow she always manages to get her arms free though and ends up like this…

Recently when she gets tired and is crying, this is the only way Josh has found to get her to calm down and subsequently fall asleep. I promise Josh is not choking her, just supporting her head. I dont understand how someone falls asleep in this position. It appears to be incredibly uncomfortable.

Announcements

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

I love knowing and being related to very talented people. Thanks to Josh’s excellent graphic design skills, baby A has a pretty cool birth announcement. I picked my favorite newborn photo and we both feel in love with the font and thats all it took for Josh to put together this beauty. Welcome to our lives little baby A. We think you are pretty fantastic.
